Great American Coil is a full service manufacturer of evaporator, condenser, hot & chilled water, and low pressure steam coils.  We offer our customers the services of our engineering department for assistance in correctly selecting a coil for any of these applications.  For those customers who would like to make their own selections, we can provide a computer selection program at no cost.  This program rates coils in accordance with the current edition of ARI Standard 410, and the  performance of our hot water and chilled water coils is ARI Certified.  If you would like to download a copy of this program, click the links below.  The Windows version of the program does not include performance for evaporators or condensers, as the DOS version does.

Using WinZip, extract the files to a folder such as:

C:\GACI Coil Performance\   then create a shortcut on your desktop with: 

C:\GACI Coil Performance\GACI.EXE   as the target.

Using WinZip, extract the files to a temporary folder, then run the file "Setup.exe".  When the installation is complete you may delete the files in the temporary folder.

 

Water Coils

 

 

Each water coil is designed to provide low water pressure drop, while maintaining turbulent water flow.  This design ensures efficient heat transfer and long coil life.  Hot water and chilled water coils are ARI performance certified.

Steam Coils

Our low-pressure steam coils are carefully designed to withstand the rigors of this application.  Minimum tube wall thickness on a steam coil is .025".  .035" wall thickness is available if required.  

Evaporator Coils

  

 

Carefully designed circuitry with attention to circuit loading, reduces the possibility of oil-logging while maintaining a low refrigerant pressure drop.   When maximum performance is required, rifled tubing is available.  

 

Condenser Coils

 

Our high efficiency sine-wave fin is an ideal choice for a condenser surface.  It provides excellent performance and is easily cleaned in the field, with no louvers or lances to trap airborne contaminants (cottonwood, etc.).
