Great American Coil is a full service manufacturer of evaporator, condenser, hot & chilled water, and low pressure steam coils.  We offer our customers the services of our engineering department for assistance in correctly selecting a coil for any of these applications.  

For those customers who would like to make their own selections, we can provide a computer selection program at no cost.  This program rates coils in accordance with the current edition of ARI Standard 410, and the  performance of our hot water and chilled water coils is ARI Certified.

General Specifications:

Fins -                  Material:     aluminum or copper

                            Thickness: .0045", .0055", .0075" & .010"

                            Pattern:      1.25" x 1.08"

                            Surface:      sine-wave corrugation

                            Edge:          rippled

                            Collars:       full die formed collars, for optimum heat transfer and 

                                                accurate fin spacing.

Tubes -              Material:     1/2" OD seamless copper tubing

                            Wall Thk.:    .016", .025" & .035"

                            Treatment:  smooth & rifled ID (rifled .016" only)

Sheet Metal -    Material:      galvanized steel, stainless steel, aluminum or copper

                            Thickness:  20 Ga. - 16 Ga.

Expansion -      All coils are mechanically expanded to achieve tight fin-to-tube bond

                             for optimal heat transfer.

Brazing -           High temperature hard solder

Testing -            100% leak tested in water at 360 psig minimum

Dehydration -   Coils pass through a 500°F oven, then are sealed for shipment.
